Lighting Images. Video lighting project#1.

A marble wall can host a video lighting system, based on LCD television standard luminous settings and on the ability to produce video lighting art. The lighitng Images reflection starts from this awareness: how to shape light in the visual and image editing domain, transposing then its expressive qualities to the traditional lighting technical and aesthetic requirements (or to a not-conventioanl usage of a standard house tool: i.e. TV). With SED network partners Marco Veneri -graphic designer and graphic artist from Bianco - and media artists Giovanni Conti and Sara Meloni we are approaching the production of sonic lit pictures ans sonic luminous videos based on the Lighting Images research - started by Lorenzo Brusci in 2004.

Lorenzo brusci has been composing music and designing sound spaces for Raffaella Giordano’s last 3 creations.

Her rigorous work goes directly to an expressive fundamental need, articulated after months of community research.

Life and its co-essential archetypes always enrich her visions:

public and private life, intimacy, presence, memory, action, presence, memory, defense, love, relations, cuts, action, oblivion, sacred icons, lost and new symbols, abandon, contradictions, community, abandon, destruction, rebirth, care, care, oblivion, care, transfiguration, defense, memory.

The music I offer to her works is always oriented to represent an intense spacial time for the action, widening and amplifying the bounderies of a physical theatre.

Always trying to generate sound in a way that the piece itself and its stage behaviours are responsible for the music articulation and immanence.

“…I feel a theatrical work as an expressive architecture to take care of for the whole time of its existence. A pervasive idea of maintanance and care. An immersive sense of symbolic continuity. A gestural, word and behavior art able to open spectators’ life towards a wider aesthetic which flowers from tiny, infinite, radical actions. Another stimulus for our experience design understanding”.

Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center ALISE’, Scandicci, Firenze. The acoustic space of medical care

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

Lorenzo Brusci and the orthopedic rehabilitation center Alisè are still testing and discussing the acoustic and sound comfort and its emotional implications on the everyday treatment praxis. We have also recently started to produce feasibility and test studies for the acoustic, sonorous and luminous comfort inside wider medical institutions and hospitals; here sound articulations deal with the ability to de-absolutize the perception of pain; an attempt to stimulate the environmental interactive attitude of patients and inmates. The scientific communication of this experience will be organized and scheduled during 2008.
