Philips and Architettura Sonora. Lorenzo Brusci’ sound experience design.

Symbolic spaces. How can you learn the grace of a gesture, of an object, of a function, of a relationship, of a physical state? Symbolic Arts (because of their public exposure of personal intensification) are the only training. The art of a presence, itself individual and public at once: a verbal metaphor is expressing why you feel/need emotional space around a common word/meaning; a choreography or a drama are then suspending its private symbolism into a public cognitive rite. Any construction is meaningful because of the emotional and linguistic research behind the choice of that individual though widely public expressive action.

These are some of the issues emerging from the research Philips - Goal Venture - are sharing with Lorenzo Brusci and his Architettura Sonora team. The making of an intelligent space. A dynamic learning center of a brand’s main properties. Selling goods is a way of sharing information and perspectives on society. But the space where a function happen cannot - NEVER - be reduced to it.

In 2 months a pilot multisensorial shop in Eindhoven will be allowing us to test the experiential implications of such a dynamic space.

Architettura Sonora/Applied Acoustics is born

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Architettura Sonora/Applied Acoustics, a division of B&C Speakers.

founded by Lorenzo Coppini - project manager - and Lorenzo Brusci - artistic director and chief designer. AS main goal is to design and produce both  industrial and customized sound modules for architecture.

Visible and invisible sound modules, able to enhance and transfigure architectural, urban and landscape sites. Our sound modules are able to excite and re-design the space acoustic perception. Non conventional shapes will allow a sound composition or a simple music selection to be focused, projected, diverted, constrained or widened in order to re-design the sound experience of a human habitat.

From city noise masking to sophisticated interior sound design, from therapeutic acoustic comfort to car audio design and urban events sound design.

KARL MARX BONSAI
Der Blumentopf

Friday 20 till Sunday 22 june 2008

live action friday 20 june, h 20:00 and h 24:00

An immersive city oasis. The plastic surfaces are resonating of Brusci’s sound design. Plastique Fantastique’s architecture is like an outer world synthetic playground able to suggest viewers and visitors alternative city and culturescapes. Outside and inside the plastic fantastic structure is possible to have a multisensory and immersive transfigured view of the ordinary city life - in this case of the charming multicultural Berlin area of Neukoelln.
A sudden suspension of one’s sleepy and individual perceptual attitude, the occasion to enrich one’s symbolic background and step back to the everyday life with new compositional and imaginary interpretative tools.

Sonic environment and soundtrack for artist Beata Stankiewicz’s short movie “Klotnia”

Lorenzo Brusci has sound designed and composed the sonic environment and the sound track for polish artist Beata Stankiewicz’s short movie “KLOTNIA“.
The movie is a still video camera extreme zooming on a “private distant life”: across a window, a man and a woman inside their apartment, discussing intimately and passionately of their emotional reasons. The sound composition is continously stratifying external soundscapes and internal resonating sound actions. Only a human chant and its derivations will be able to blow in the compassionate view of viewers. The end is an ancient ordinary intimate new beginning.
